Students are encouraged to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Student Services assists students in the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills that contribute to overall mental and physical Well-being and to academic achievement in our classrooms.

Counseling - The school counselor works with students and families to support Wellness through a referral process that includes self-referral, parent referral, teacher referral, and administrative referral. Counseling may be individually based, within small groups, and with families. The school counselor works with parents/guardians to plan and to implement strategies to assist in supporting their students to be successful in school.

Primary Care Management - The Primary Care Manager supports the school's instructional program by assisting students in their personal, social, and academic growth. The PCM is responsible for improving the academic achievement and social emotional needs of students through prevention and intervention, counseling, teacher consultation, and home visits.

School Psychologist - The school psychologist conducts educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education and related services. (S)he is a member of the Student Assistance Team, works with special education, and provides support during crisis intervention.

Special Education - Children with disabilities who need special education are entitled to receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE). Under Pennsylvania and federal law, eligible children have a right to special education and related services provided at public expense, without charge to eligible preschool, elementary, or secondary school students; under the supervision and direction of state department of education as described in an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Though the use of the nurse practitioner and the nursing model, the center provides holistic care for children by not only addressing their medical needs, but by also addressing behavioral health needs, providing health and Wellness education, and ensuring disease prevention. The center is able to provide primary care services to our students including writing prescriptions, performing sports physicals on site, and diagnosing and treating common primary care conditions in collaboration with the physician.
