2011-2012 Open Vacancies:
Development Coordinator
Congreso is actively looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill the Pan American Academy Charter School Full-Time Development Coordinator position. You will be responsible for daily activities in support of Pan American Academy Charter School's development programs; Maintaining donor records, soliciting and acknowledging donations, and preparing advertisements or correspondence regarding the organization and its programs. In addition you may also act as a support to development and fundraising planning. You will identify donor prospects as well as corporate, foundation and government prospects for funding. You must be able to maintain fundraising database, prepare reports for funders, donors and organize site visits for funders and donors.
Minimum qualifications and Experiences required:
Minimum of 4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience.
Minimum of 2 years of grant writing experience.
Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree

Essential Functions of a Pan American Academy Teacher:
Develop effective,
inquiry-based lesson plans, homework assignments and assessments
that align with state standards and the instructional standards
of Pan American Academy Charter School.
Effectively and
consistently enforce our school-wide classroom management procedures.
Collaborate with
other faculty to discuss student work, share best practices, and
ensure student success.
Maintain close
relationships with families, including home visits, phone calls
and conferences, and tutor those students who need extra support.
Participate in
on-going professional development
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Must have or be
working towards a Pennsylvania Teacher Certification, dual certifications
preferred
Must be able to
work collaboratively in a non-traditional, inner-city environment
Must be a fluent
Spanish speaker able to teach major core subjects in Spanish
Outstanding instructional
skills, including the ability to motivate and challenge students
and maintain an orderly classroom environment
Ability to create
inquiry-based units and lessons that support the international mindedness
of Pan American Academy
A strong sense
of personal accountability for student achievement
A belief that
all students should be held to high academic standards
The ability to
communicate effectively with parents
Demonstrated professionalism
and responsibility, and a strong work ethic
A positive, high-energy
attitude and a drive for personal excellence
The ability to
